Milan, September 9, 2013 On October 4th, at the Civic Aquarium of Milan as part of the initiative of events leading up to the annual conference Women&Technologies , the third annual meeting of "FutureCamp Europe: job projects for young people" will take place: an interactive meeting, designed and organized by the Women and Technologies Association , aimed at young people, teachers, and parents interested in discovering and understanding how to enter and navigate the emerging professional sectors in Europe in the near future.

" FutureCamp Europe: Biotech " will take place within the first edition of the European Biotech Week : the week (from September 30th to October 6th) in which Europe will pay tribute to the 60th anniversary of the discovery of DNA , an initiative promoted by EuropaBio (European Association of Biotechnology). Assobiotec is the Italian partner of the event and the promoter of numerous initiatives throughout the national territory, aimed at promoting the role of biotechnology in improving the quality of life, including, precisely, "FutureCamp Europe".

During "FutureCamp Europe", particular attention will be given to topics related to Biotechnologies applied to the Agrofood, Health, and Industrial sectors, through the experiences and expertise of entrepreneurs, teachers, and researchers who have turned their passion into a profession. Through direct interaction and comparison with these realities, young people will be able to receive practical information and derive inspiration for the definition and construction of a professional path in line with their inclinations and the demands of the job market.

"There are two essential components for the future of Europe and our country: equality and youth -" states Gianna Martinengo, entrepreneur and president of the Association - We want to combine them in order to contribute to ferrying the current educational context towards a new interpretation of training, oriented not so much towards traditional skills and abilities but rather towards those of the future. Providing an overview of emerging professions to the "weaker" subjects of the labor market, namely young people and women, means presenting, through moments of guidance, comparison, and dialogue like this, the professions that today offer the greatest development opportunities and effectively understand in which perspective one should position oneself in relation to choices regarding their educational and professional path."
They will bring their experience, among others, Annalisa Balloi, Sara Cantone, Daniela Jabes, Sara Mantero, Gianna Martinengo, Cinzia Menchise, Maria Luisa Nolli, Alberto Schiraldi, Elena Sgaravatti. Representing the institutions, Claudia Sorlini, Cristina Stancari, Valentina Aprea, and Francesco De Sanctis will intervene.
Information and content about the meeting will be publicly shared on the FutureCamp Europe channel on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, while during the event the opportunity to interact with other participants present at the event will be available thanks to an app for smartphones and tablets called Yopin (Your Opinion).

FUTURECAMP EUROPE is an initiative promoted by the Association of Women and Technologies as part of the preliminary events to the annual conference Women&Technologies® 2008-2015 (VI Edition - Milan, November 2013)
