Milan Digital Week, Women&Tech engages with citizens on the Innovation Tram

On 17 and 18 March, the citizens of Milan will see the Carrelli 1928 tram dedicated to Milan Digital Week pass through the city: it is the Tram of Innovation, where meetings and testimonies related to the ongoing Digital Revolution will come to life. This is the contribution that Women&Tech - Association of Women and Technologies wishes to offer to the citizens, in partnership with ATM, on the occasion of Milan Digital Week.

During this edition, from March 15th to 18th, of the Milan Digital Week , the city will come alive with meetings and events of all kinds, all dedicated to the digital world, expressed in its many forms, in terms of services, products, approaches to training, and responses to citizens' needs. People will be able to participate for free in over 300 events, under the banner of "look, learn, have fun".

What will happen inside the Innovation Tram? Citizens will be able to meet the protagonists of innovation and digital transformation , managers who will explain how technology can improve everyday life and quality of life, for example in financial transactions, security, mobility, robotics, health and new professions . The question that all the protagonists will try to answer will be: "What does it mean to be digital citizens in the city of Milan?".

The Innovation Tram will be available on Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18. The tours through the city center will last 45 minutes and will be available from 10am to 1pm and from 2:30pm to 5:30pm, for a total of 8 rides per day and 40 participants per tour.

The inaugural tour will take place on Saturday, March 17th at 10:00 AM and will be opened by the speeches of Roberta Cocco, Councilor for Digital Transformation and Civic Services of the Municipality of Milan, Marco Granelli, Councilor for Mobility and Environment of the Municipality of Milan, and ATM President, Luca Bianchi.

"In a time of maximum speed, accelerated business, it will be interesting to find, on the Innovation Tram, a 'slow' way of relating - comments the founder of Women&Tech, Gianna Martinengo - no electricity, no Wi-Fi, just the interaction between people to discuss the future that awaits us. A hyper-technological future, in which digital, as we have always maintained, must improve the quality of people's lives. Women&Tech is proud to be able to undertake this real and virtual journey that will involve citizens. Part of our mission is precisely to disseminate and provide new visions of technology and innovation".
