"But why, in 2021, is it so important to talk about AI? Certainly because of the complexity that marks its history, from which to draw reflections, inspirations, and teachings. Artificial Intelligence is a definition that pushes us towards the future, but draws its strength from the past, articulating an evolution that combines progress and awareness: two essential elements in managing the challenges that characterize our present." states Gianna Martinengo, creator of the Award and President of Women&Tech.
According to the EU, excellence and trust are the two pillars of Artificial Intelligence: and it is in this direction that the awarded women, our thirteen Technovisionaries, lead their work with passion to advance research and apply its results with sensitivity, ethics, and vision. Women who, for years, have challenged a predominantly male academic and industrial world, to contribute to the success of AI now recognized globally.
