At the 16th edition of the International Technovisionary® Award 2022, we celebrate the women who invent the future in FinTech.

On June 9th, the award ceremony for female excellence in the FinTech world will be held at Palazzo Pirelli in Milan.

Milan, May 26, 2022 - Promoted by Women&Tech - Association of Women and Technologies, which aims to enhance female talent in technology, innovation, and scientific research - the International Technovisionary® Award is awarded to women who, in their professional activities, have demonstrated vision, prioritizing social impact, transparency in behavior, and ethics.

The creator of the Award is Gianna Martinengo, Founder of Women&Tech - Women and Technologies Association, who this year has decided to focus on FinTech. This is a sector that represents a real paradigm shift in the economic-financial world, and is based on two key words of great impact: inclusion and innovation.

The term refers to Financial Technology, which consists of financial services, payment, investment, and high-tech consulting. In addition to digitizing traditional financial channels, "technology serving finance" transforms and modernizes our society profoundly. A neologism that has led to the emergence of over 1500 innovative startups worldwide, and promotes a strong opening to women. The mission of FinTech is precisely to take big steps forward, to make finance accessible to everyone. It is in this revolutionary and inclusive vision that the quality of female talent is strongly promoted: as evidenced by a recent Deloitte study: over the past ten years, FinTech startups founded by women have grown at a significantly faster rate compared to those founded by men.

The award ceremony for 'FINTECH, WOMEN'S EXCELLENCE', carried out by a jury composed of qualified representatives from the world of culture, communication, science, and innovation, will take place on June 9th at Palazzo Pirelli in Milan. The ceremony will honor the 10 Technovisionaries who, thanks to their realistic vision of the world we live in, skills in the FinTech ecosystem, and the ability to connect the female universe to the evolution of digitalization in the financial sector, have carried out activities and promoted projects capable of enhancing female talent and bringing innovation to the industry.

The Technovisionaries will receive a canvas from the collection ANITA', dedicated to women who have been able to combine " heart and invention " achieving prestigious goals in service of others, specially created for the Award.

The jury of the XVI International Tecnovisionarie® 2022 Award is composed of: Diana Bracco , President and CEO of Bracco Group and President of Fondazione Bracco; Daniela Aleggiani , Vice President of Fondazione 3M, Giovanna Boggio Robutti , General Director of the Foundation for Financial Education and Savings (ABI); Deborah Chiodoni , Press Office Director, National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci, Milan; Barbara Digiglio , Deputy Director of Elle and Digital Director of Elle.it; Gianna Martinengo , President of Didael KTS, President and Founder of Women&Technologies®; Franca Melfi , Director of the Multidisciplinary Robotic Surgery Center, University Hospital of Pisa; Patrizia Rutigliano , Executive Vice President of Government Affairs, CSR and Communications at SNAM; Federica Villa , Manager of the Presidency and Institutional Relations of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan.

"While the banking, financial, insurance, and real estate industries are riding the wave of change to implement new technologies as much as possible in the offering of services and, at the same time, to expand the customer base favoring greater financial inclusion, the debate grows on the risks associated with the disruptive development of FinTech, together with the opportunities from which the entire country will ultimately benefit in terms of growth and competitiveness. In this context, the role of women and their skills in the FinTech ecosystem is particularly important." - Gianna Martinengo, Entrepreneur and Founder of Women&Tech - Women and Technology Association.
