Friday October 10, at the Civic Aquarium of Milan as part of the preliminary initiatives to EXPO 2015, the 5th annual meeting of "FutureCamp Europe: job projects for young people" took place: an interactive meeting, conceived and organized by the Women and Technology Association , aimed at young people, teachers, and parents interested in discovering and understanding how to enter and navigate the emerging professional sectors in Europe in the near future.

" FutureCamp Europe: Biotech " is part of the second edition of the European Biotech Week : an entire week (from October 6 to 12) dedicated to the biotechnology sector and promoted by EuropaBio (European Biotechnology Association). Assobiotec is the Italian partner of the event and the promoter of numerous initiatives throughout the national territory, aimed at promoting the role of biotechnology in improving quality of life.

During the 2014 edition, "FutureCamp Europe" discussed topics related to Biotechnologies applied to the Agrofood, Health, and Industrial sectors, through the experiences and expertise of young entrepreneurs, teachers, and researchers who have turned their passion into a profession. Through direct interaction and comparison with these realities, primary school students received practical information and gained inspiration for defining and building a study path in line with their inclinations and the demands of the job market.

Two are the essential components of the future of Europe and our country: equality and young people - says Gianna Martinengo, entrepreneur and president of the Women and Technologies Association - we want to combine them in order to contribute to ferrying the current educational context towards a new interpretation of training, oriented not so much towards traditional skills and capabilities but rather towards those of the future. Offering an overview of emerging professions to the "weak" subjects of the labor market, namely young people and women, means presenting, through moments of guidance, comparison, and dialogue like this, the professions that today offer the greatest development opportunities and effectively understanding in which perspective one should place oneself in relation to choices regarding their educational and professional path”.

They brought their expertise Nicoletta Ancona, Aldo Domina, Maria Luisa Nolli, Annalisa Balloi, Sara Cantone, Maria Luisa Nolli, Elisa D’Este, Federico Martello, Luca Ravagnan, Tommaso Roversi, Alessandro Tronchin, Federica Villa, Antonio Tosco, Bruno Marasà.

Information and content about the meeting are publicly shared on the FutureCamp Europe channel on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

FUTURECAMP EUROPE is an initiative promoted by the Association of Women and Technologies as part of a schedule of events in preparation for EXPO 2015 and has received the logo of the Scientific Committee of EXPO from the Municipality of Milan.
