When we conceived the theme of the Award for the 2016 edition - explains Gianna Martinengo, President of Didael KTS and Founder of the Women and Technology Association - we did not imagine that we would hit the mark so effectively. After reviewing the profiles of the received nominations and seeing the enthusiasm generated by the voting that led to the selection of the finalists, we realized that, truly, in our country Finance speaks in the feminine. Italy is rich in determined, sensitive, and attentive women, capable of holding top positions with a broad vision of the entire company and the international market in which they operate. They can synthesize and therefore overcome the division of knowledge, to bring progress and development to the entire society, not just parts of it. This ability perfectly reflects the philosophy of our Association, which we now define as 'SteAm, not just Stem', dedicated to a harmonious sharing of knowledge, including Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics. By Arts, we mean that humanistic and economic vision that must be absolutely complementary to the traditional scientific one."
