Women and technologies: the Women&Tech® ETS Association returns to Prime Minister Asti

Here is the title of the next lesson by Prime Minister Asti, which will take place on June 24th at the Foyer delle Famiglie. Special guests will be the representatives of Women&Tech® ETS, Association Women and Technologies and their Young Ambassadors. "Women&Tech® from Stem to SteAm"

The Women&Tech® ETS Association aims to enhance female talent in technology, innovation, and scientific research, promoting projects aimed at female empowerment and fighting against stereotypes. Founded in 1999 as a CSR project by President Gianna Martinengo, it became an Association in 2009 and since 2013 promotes the initiative "From Stem to SteAm": Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, with the intention of including Arts, i.e. Humanities, in STEM subjects.

Already in 2022, the members of Women&Tech® ETS brought their experience to Prime Minister - a school of politics for young women in Asti. The President of the Association Gianna Martinengo, Maria Ameli, Antonia Verna, Daniela Aleggiani, Maria Letizia Giorgietti, and Mary Franzese were guests. They delved into topics related to science, leadership, and ethics with the students of the first edition, sharing their educational and professional experiences and offering valuable advice for the future. The lesson, entitled "Science and technology. Together to build the future, in politics and society" was a great success, providing many points for reflection for the students.

The meeting on June 24 will see the return of Mary Franzese, Co-Founder and CMO of Neuron Guard, Social Media Manager and member of the Steering Committee of Women&Tech® ETS. Three Young Ambassadors of the Women&Tech® Association will accompany her: Alessia Soru, a second-year master's student in Medical Biotechnology, Anna Dotti, a PhD student in Materials Engineering, and Martina Proietti, a graduate in Innovative Technologies for Digital Communication.

The Young Ambassadors are young women who are currently pursuing or have completed degrees in SteAm subjects, girls who aspire to become leaders in the workforce and strongly believe they can make a significant contribution to society. Their testimony will be crucial in inspiring young female students at Prime Minister Asti.

Prime Minister is a school of politics for young women, between the ages of 14 and 19, born in 2019 in Favara, a small town in the province of Agrigento. In 2022, four schools were started in the Northwest, thanks to the contribution of the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation. The school in Asti, currently in its second edition, is coordinated by the Giovanni Goria Foundation with the support of the Soroptimist International Club of Asti and the Obiettivo Monferrato Association.
