Women&Tech® ETS, always a supporter of the social impact of technological innovation, is pleased to share a conversation with Caterina La Porta, Professor of General Pathology at the University of Milan, who will address the topic of Artificial Intelligence applications in Medicine. She will do so by presenting Ariadne, an advanced artificial intelligence platform dedicated to precision medicine for breast cancer. This meeting will take place on January 12, completely online via Zoom, and will be moderated by Paola Sangiovanni, Partner at the Gitti And Partners Law Firm and coordinator of our "One Health" working group. Introduction by Gianna Martinengo, President of Women&Tech® ETS. The platform represents a revolutionary tool that assists doctors in understanding the biological characteristics of tumors, to help them define a personalized therapeutic strategy. Thanks to Machine Learning systems, Ariadne compares patient data with big data from millions of other patients with the same pathology, providing the doctor with useful indicators to evaluate the most suitable personalized therapy for each specific case. Ariadne is classified as a Class 2a medical device, in accordance with the requirements of the Medical Devices Directive (93/42/EEC). The Ariadne team is composed of a group of scientists with a shared passion, which led them to create Complexdata SRL, a startup and spin-off of the Center for Complexity and Biosystems at the University of Milan, a structure that brings together researchers experienced in the fields of biomedicine, physics, computer science, and applied mathematics, of which Caterina La Porta is CEO and Chairman of the Board.
